The time is literally flying by! I know that sounds so cliche but it really is! I can’t believe how fast Navy is growing up EVERY day!! It makes me sad…Zach just says we will need to have another baby!! ;) This is coming from the man who I didn’t think would ever want another kid after Dakota’s accident! Navy has sure softened his heart! She LITERALLY has him wrapped around her little finger! He is already saying how he is going to give her EVERYTHING she wants. (We will see about that! ;)) He picks her up at the tiniest whimper and when he is home he just holds her ALL day!! I’m not going to lie…it melts my heart to watch him with this girl! Don’t get me wrong…he is an AMAZING dad to Dakota as well…but a dad and his daughter…there is just something so special about it! I think with him being off this winter she might just turn into a spoiled baby girl!!! ;)
SUPERDAD right here! That is talent and strength to carry both kids! Dakota stiffens up when you carry him so that is why he is in that position…so he can one hand him without dropping him! ;) (You wouldn’t get it unless you have held him! ;))
We can’t even stop at Home Depot without his stopping to do this! ;)
AND THIS!
We are LOVING this stage though…more then either of us EVER imagined! We LOVE how happy and how much personality she is getting. She will give you a smile SO easily. Her little giggle has even turned into a real laugh. (Babies laughs are to DIE for!!)
We love how she will sit and play on your lap forever and can’t push herself off.
When you put her down on the floor you know she will still be there when you get back! ;) (And that Dakota is safe from her still! ;))
Sometimes we make her cuddle with Dakota man!
He is really coming around and smiling more and more at her!!! It makes my heart smile!!
I just LOVE these two!!!!!
Dakota LOVES her slobbery goodnight kisses the VERY best!!!
Sometimes Dakota even likes to hold her! This is a tricky move! ;) Don't try this at home! ;)
Someday she will be trying to grab his trach right out! :/ Not looking forward to that day!
She is trying to sit up but still doesn’t have the balance for it yet…we let Dakota help her by being her boundary! ;)
She is SUPER good at rolling from her back to tummy. She pretty much rolls over immediately after you lay her down. She hasn’t quite figured out how to get back to her back yet and after so long she starts to get frustrated until you help her. And then she rolls right back over! I am convinced she might learn to crawl before she learns to roll back over! ;)
Back in August she FINALLY got into her big girl bed! I’m a little obsessed with her bedding. My amazing sister Annie helped me choose fabrics and the design of it all. I had it made by a lady in ID. I didn’t do a good job about communicating a couple key things so my cute talented mom had to rip some of it apart and redo some things…and then FINALLY it was done! Her crib was Dakota’s old crib but instead of keeping it the dark red wood…my AMAZING father in law painted it for me and then I distressed it! Turned out PERFECT!!
I love the black and white stripes…the big bows…and the floral fabric on the outside. Maybe on day when we get in our house (who knows when that day will be) she will get a whole bedroom makeover! I’m not gonna lie…I’m dying for a dolled up girls room! ;) My dreams will have to wait!!
She is still sleeping SO amazing which is such a HUGE blessing for me since Dakota has been having some rough nights out of nowhere.
She wakes up so happy grabbing her cute feet and talking! That is my MOST favorite sound EVER to wake up to!!!!
She LOVES her toes and feet. One of the cutest things ever is watching a baby suck on their toes…at least in my opinion. It is crazy how much flexibility they are!!
YUM!
Her babbles have gotten more and more cuter AND louder! If you don’t pay attention to her she will just start babbling louder and louder until you look at her and then she will give you her gorgeous little smile!
She got her ears pierced at 4 months. (In case you didn’t notice 4 month post never happened! ;))
Her first night! SOOO pretty! ;)
She only cried for like 1 minute!
She has a little stranger danger but if you talk to her first and get her to smile at you you are golden! ;)
Navy and Great Grandma Marilyn.
She is just the best and we are loving her to pieces!! Especially those rolly, chubby arms of hers!!!!
Zach’s mom took a few nakey pictures when she babysat her awhile back! SO cute of her little/big rolls! ;)
I LOVE that sweet face!!!
Her belly and arms!!! I wish my chubs looked as cute as hers!!!! ;)
She seems like she is SOOOO chubby but her 4 months stats for height and weight were pretty average! I decided she just carries her weight a little different then others! ;)
Weight 14.7lbs 53%
Height 25in 62%
Oh Navy Jo Friedli! Thanks for helping make our little world go round! You are a blessing to our family and we NEVER take one day with you for granted!! I sure hope you realize how special and important you are to all of us!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!!
NEVER grow up!!! Please!!!
What a beautiful, beautiful baby! I love the video, it made me giggle right along with her. All of your photos are so heart-warming, and they show the intense love that you feel for both of your precious children. God bless!
ReplyDeleteWas searching for my GF’s blog and came across yours. Started reading and came to your recent post about piercing your daughter's ears. She looks totally adorable with little earrings. It reminded me of my own experience having our daughter's ears pierced at about the same age. I actually dreamed of my baby with earrings when the nurses first handed her to me in the delivery room, she had little gold studs in each ear :) After she was born, I could hardly wait to get them pierced.
ReplyDeleteThis was a perfect age to pierce her ears! Believe although it was your husband's suggestion, you were a smart mommy for following up on his idea and doing the research including asking your pediatrician. Promise you will have many moms envious of your decision and wish they had pierced their girls as infants. Babies and little girls with little pierced ears celebrates their femininity and femaleness. There is nothing cuter than seeing a little baby girl with pretty gold earrings. If she was ever called a boy, then I promise she won't be mistaken for a boy ever again!
Our ped encouraged me doing it when mommy could care for them. Also, she gave me some info for moms having their dd’s ears pierced to find the right person and place to do it.
Would be happy to share by e-mail with any moms wanting more info or trying to decide ” to pierce or not to pierce.” Bet your husband was like mine and thought our daughter looked more like "daddy's little girl" with earrings than ever before :)
